His wife took over and ran the workshop until his son, René-Louis (the
toddler among the woodships) grew old enough to succeed him.
In
1947, René TROTEL started his apprenticeship in wood and art furniture
industry, alongside of his father in the family workshop. Some years later,
in 1964, the logically took over and focussed his activity on making high-quality
regional furniture. Gradually, his expending business made him extend
his workshop, increase his staff and associates and take up a real trademark
policy.
REASONS FOR OUR SUCCESS
TROTEL is one among the few manufacturers to propose furniture in limited
run or on a subscription basis.
TROTEL exclusively uses noble species as French cherrywood,
oak (or chestnut for the inside parts) along with some rare, precious species
: mahogany, amaranth, rosewood, yew and lemon tree. The French cherrywood,
unlike the American one, acquires a really nice sheen with the passing of
time. The complete control of the furniture workmanship on a single worksite
enables TROTEL to provide constant production, in keeping with
quality standards as well as deadlines.
OUR COLLECTIONS

OUR COMMITMENTS
Each
item or furniture made in our workshops is trademarked, numbered and issued
with a certificate of authenticity. It thus garantees total respect of our
specific kind of workmanship as well as thorough check before delivery for
each and every item" R. TROTEL ", our branded signature, logically
revives this spirit of the degree issued by Louis XIII, who then demanded
that cabinetmakers marked their works, thus prompting them to take care
of abiding by the rules. The number and reference of the furniture
appear on the certificate of authenticity which also includes a reply coupon
to be sent back to the firm. This document should be carefully completed
: it is the only means of authentification should the certificate be lost.
